We had a great time at ANME in July, and hosted our first members meet-up! It was amazing to meet so many members. Our SWPA booth was a great spot to stop and chat, learn more about us, and take a picture with friends and colleagues at our “snap station”. See the fun pics below! FSC’s Executive Director Delivers Keynote at UK Age Assurance Regulator Event

On July 16, 2024, Free Speech Coalition Executive Director Alison Boden delivered the keynote presentation at a meeting on age verification hosted by Ofcom, the UK’s communications regulator. The first-of-its-kind event was designed to facilitate discussion with the adult industry on Ofcom’s implementation of the Online Safety Act (OSA), including the age assurance and illegal content requirements for adult content platforms, both expected to come into force in Q1 of 2025. FSC Issues Warning to Sex Workers, LGBTQ+ Community About Conservative ‘Project 2025’

Free Speech Coalition (FSC) has released a statement warning about the proposed conservative initiative Project 2025 and its multiple threats to the rights of sex workers and the LGBTQ+ community. “Project 2025 bans both pornography and LGBTQ+ content and criminalizes those who own or share it. In fact, Project 2025 declares any and all LGBTQ content as pornographic in nature, thus criminalizing it and placing LGBTQ parents, educators, and public librarians at risk of prosecution for allowing people to access LGBTQ+ literature, resources and other content under severe laws targeting pornography.” Read more on XBIZ.

Texas Judge Pauses AG Ken Paxton’s Aylo Lawsuit Until SCOTUS Decision

A Texas district judge granted a request to pause proceedings in the lawsuit filed by Attorney General Ken Paxton against Aylo over Pornhub’s alleged failure to implement Texas’ controversial age verification requirements, pending the outcome of the Free Speech Coalition-led lawsuit against Paxton, which will be heard by the Supreme Court during the next term.
